According to IATF 16949, auditors must be qualified to audit the requirements of IATF 16949. The so-called core tools APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP and SPC, as described in the corresponding volumes of the US automotive association AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) and in various volumes of the VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie), are also part of IATF 16949 and the respective applicable rules. In principle, IATF 16949 also already requires that necessary competencies be identified and that training or other measures be provided.

The qualification of internal auditors for the Core Tools is a requirement of IATF 16949, as well as the current revision VDA 6.3 and the CQI Assesment for Special Processes.

The usual training courses for the core tools APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP and SPC cover a training period – depending on the provider – of 1 to 3 days per core tool, i.e. the total expenditure is over 5 days. For auditors, who do not use these Core Tools themselves, but are supposed to audit them, this seminar will therefore provide knowledge to ask the right questions in audits and to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of these Core Tools.

Objective
The participants will learn the contents of the Core Tools APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP and SPC relevant for auditing according to the AIAG reference manuals and the corresponding VDA volumes 2, 4, 5 and maturity assurance of new parts and how these contents have to be assessed and evaluated in audits.
